Imagine walking along the unmistakable lakeside from Navene towards the historic town centre of Malcesine on Lake Garda. Imagine taking a break to admire the view across the water, towards the opposite shoreline and the stunning sight of Limone sul Garda.

Now imagine enjoying the same picturesque experience during the week from 24th to 30th June, during Foiling Week: let yourself be enchanted by the silent foiling boats as they soar past, cutting through the waves on the most cutting-edge foil tech! The event will be an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the fascination behind foiling and learn the secrets and developments of the foiling world up close during Foiling Week. The week itself, in addition to focusing on thrilling the races for various classes such as WASZP, Moth, ETF26, Switch One Design, Birdyfish and X-15 wingfoilers, will be packed with side events providing technical insights, exclusive learning opportunities, environmental talks and plenty of entertainment, including water trials open to the public, clinics, youth and women's coaching sessions, technical and sustainability-focused workshops.

Did you expect foiling could develop into so many disciplines and classes (boats, boards, wings, kites, etc.) after the first edition, disciplines that can boast some significant numbers?

"It was clear that foiling would have influenced a variety of classes and disciplines, and Foiling Week was conceived as a catalyst for exactly this. It is only now, years later, however, that the strides made in technological development and efficiency are clearly allowing for a broader use of foiling.".

What has been the greatest satisfaction so far for FW?

"Becoming a World Sailing Special Event: the first 'community' event, created by foiling enthusiasts for foiling enthusiast".

What are the short- and long-term goals for FW?

"Returning to international events, with Pensacola 2025 as a first step, while working on one event per continent".
