FOIL LONG JOHN 1.5 Sleeveless Neoprene Wetsuit

The Foil Long John 1.5 is the ideal product for professional athletes, who need a versatile wetsuit (long john and top) that can guarantee ample movement, wear and tear resilience and stability in high-speed sailing.

The Foil Long John 1.5 is made from a lightweight (1.5 mm) neoprene suitable for mild temperatures and sailing on fast boats that require adequate protection. It can be worn with the matching Foil Top or a spray top.

A super-stretch neoprene was used for the Foil Long John 1.5 to ensure optimal freedom of movement, especially in disciplines such as multihulls and foils, where athletes are always on the move in dynamic situations.

The Foil Long John 1.5 was developed directly by two-time Olympic gold Nacra 17 duo Tita-Banti, after almost two years of research. The two-piece separation of the wetsuit with a top and long johns increases flexibility and is better suited to the needs of sailing than the one-piece used in surfing or kiting. The type of neoprene adopted makes the fabric much more elastic, even when wet, avoiding bumps against the body during use. Peripheral circulation is favoured by calibrated compression near the muscles put under the most stress, reducing the possibility of cramps.

The Foil Long John 1.5 has adopted pre-formed cuts on the knees for a comfortable posture when sailing, respecting their natural position and movement, thus reducing creases and improving joint mobility. Reinforcements have also been applied to strategic points such as the seat, shins and knees. Anti-slip grips with two silicone inserts inside the ankles keep the long johns in place during use. As for their aesthetics, they bear sublimation prints inspired by the sea and by the play of its reflections. The look is unisex, although specific designs for women will soon follow. A functional front opening makes these even easier to use.
